A Holistic Approach

Kitren wants her clients to be as successful as they can be.  She believes that the best job she can do for her clients, in addition to getting great results on their cases, is to do what she can to make sure they never need her services again. To that end, if there is an underlying issue that brought you to her such as substance abuse, mental health, anger or unresolved grief, she’ll help you to uncover it and address it so that you do not repeat an unhealthy pattern.

Intervention and Diversion

Kitren has served on the Santa Fe Magistrate Court DWI Drug Court Program since 2011 where she had the great joy of seeing the positive side of the justice system with defendants in recovery.  In 2018, she helped launch the Transformative Justice Initiative (TJI), another local alternative court program that diverts defendants charged with opioid-related crimes out of the court system and propels them toward a better life. Kitren is also involved with the DWI Drug Court where she has served as a panel member since 2011. It is with this lens that she views criminal charges as an opportunity for positive change in someone’s life if they need it.  If your case is a good fit for diversion outside of the court system, she will help you explore that option.
